Snow, Tea, and Sisters.

Howdy to all my readers (:
Yet another snow day this winter season, I’m not exactly sure how much snow we have actually gotten in this storm, but its well over 6 inches and its still coming down hard. The roads were in a pretty bad condition on my way home from work yesterday, it was quite the adventure. (;

I do believe I’m getting another cold, so I have been drinking a mixture of water and apple cider vinegar, and also lots and LOTS of tea to help. Hopefully I can prevent it before it gets to bad.

Tea is my favorite drink to have when I’m sick, it’s also my favorite drink even when I’m not sick (; It’s so soothing, and extremely healthy for you. I don’t usually add a sweetener or honey to mine, on occasion I will but I prefer having it just plan!

Planning my sister’s bridal shower today, we have most everything figured out, decorations, food, gifts, games, ect. It’s in about 2 weeks so were getting pretty anxious and excited for it.

We are going to try and make some new desert to serve at the party, they sound really good! Let’s just hope it all turns out right.

……………………………………………………………………………………………

The Proverbs 31 devotion is going GREAT! I love being able to study it verse by verse, and really getting the true meaning of each verse. Each page of the devotion is highlighted, written, and scribbled all over. I love taking notes (:

I’m now memorizing Proverbs 31:10-13

There is a few quotes from the book I’d love to share with yall…

“God will use a woman of prayer to bring about much good in the world all the days of her life.”

Capable women don't complain. They take action to change the situation or have enough faith to accept the things they cannot change."

“No Christian is greater than her prayer life”

If you’re looking for a daily womens devotion book, I’d highly recommend this book!

The book “A holy Ambition, by John Piper” is another book I recommend, it’s excellent. I haven’t finished it quite yet, but almost there. It really makes you re-think about your life, and rather or not your goals, and ambitions are Christ centered.

………………………………………………………………………………………………
I was going through some old family photos (trying to get an idea of some pictures for my graduation) anyways; I came across this picture of me and my sisters. It’s an older picture, it was taken a few years ago I believe. I forgot it even existed, I love going through family photos for that reason. In a way “old” photos become “new” because you forgot they had been taken!

My sisters and I have always thought of ourselves as “Little Women”. Being 4 girls, just the same as in the book. Our personalities match up quite a bit to the March girls, Heather being similar to (Meg). Me (Joe). Abigail (Beth). Eve (Amy).

I think that’s why Little Women is one of my favorite movies, because it reminds me SO much of how we are when were all together. I miss having our sister time!

Hope the rest of you’re day is positively wonderful,
God Bless!

Free day + Organizing = CLEAN HOUSE!

Hey yall (: Hope this lovely cold, winter day is finding you healthy and well!

Do you ever just get that “cleaning bug” inside of you, where you want to organize and deep clean everything in sight? I get this bug quite often, especially days when I’m not at work. It just feels good after a long winter to deep clean, air out, and organize the house.

We have some family/company staying the weekend with us so the house definitely needed a good cleaning before then.

(closet cleaning)

Call me an organizer-freak, but I love things to be in order (: Even though from time to time I have been known for my crazy messy closet. The times I get super busy in life, I tend to just wash laundry and toss it in the closet, wear shoes and kick them off, and yes even read a book and just set it on the closet floor.

It drives me crazy when my personal space is messy, but it does get to be a disaster sometimes. When I clean my room/around the house, I cant just do a quick “light”cleaning. I have to make sure its cleaned completely right, meaning organized! I don’t mind cleaning, in a weird way I actually find organizing and sorting through stuff relaxing.

(a portion of my organizing work)

I started a proverbs 31 woman devotion on Monday, and I’m in the process of memorizing the whole chapter. This week I’m working on verse 10 and 11. Its one of my favorite chapters of the Bible, I believe every girl/woman should study it.

I edited some more of my photography today, they didn’t turn out quite as I wanted them too. I’ve been reading a lot of photography books, just trying to improve a few things.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Busy Month

Hey Everyone (:
Wow I truly thought the holidays was the busiest time of year for me, but this month proved me wrong! From work, bible studies, wedding planning, family, friends, and trips, I haven’t had a relaxed day or weekend yet this Feb. Even though I have been extremely busy, I have enjoyed this month very much.

 I had a lovely valentines day, my mama got me a little present (she always gets us kids a present on valentines day, which she calls “little love gifts”)  I got a box of assorted tea, I just opened it and am drinking the blueberry tea as I write this. So far its amazing! I also got a card and a flower from a good friend of mine. (:

Last Thursday night after work, I drove up to my sisters place and stayed the night with her. That next morning we woke up at 4:30am to get ready and leave for a road trip to Kentuckywith a group of friends. Why Kentuckyyou might ask? Well there was a 2 day Christian Conference at Boyce college.

It was SUCH a great conference, so many good speakers. John Piper was the main speaker, I love listening to his audio sermons and so listening to him preach in person was pretty great! I purchased one of his books, “a Holy ambition” I have yet to read it but once I do I will give you my thoughts about it. So thankful for the great weekend, I was truly blessed.

Sorry for such a short post, I’ll hopefully be able to write more later on during the week.
God Bless

Sunday wearin' boots

 Hello Y'all (:
Hope you had a great weekend, and if you are a 49er fan I hope you’re not TO upset about how the super bowl ended. I myself didn’t care to much about the game this year because my team (Green Bay Packers) didn’t make it this year, But they will dominate next season, I’m sure of it (;

I just thought I would show you my Sunday cowgirl boots, I have my normal/working cowgirl boots, and then my church/fancy boots! You know you’re a country girl when you only wear boots. (:

They are the best shoe in my opinion (besides flip flops or going barefoot) that you can wear, and they also look good in jeans or skirts.

My 2 younger sister’s and I, they are 2  pretty, awesome, godly, young ladies. I love having girl time with them, rather its painting our nails, listening to music, baking, or just talking. Sisters are some of THE best friends one can have.

I had a busy, yet fun weekend. On Saturday, us girls did some more wedding dress shopping. It is so hard these days to find modest brides-maid dresses! Even for younger girls, in my sisters cases. We picked out some dresses but I we will be adding some extra straps and sleeves to be a little more covered.

They did have some pretty chiffon shawls I thought would look cute with summery dresses. (: Ahh!! Cant wait for summer!

On Sunday, I got up a little earlier then I usually do. I attended a new Bible study, which is before the church service. It’s a class on how to study you’re Bible, my daddy is leading it. I took a lot of notes, and keeping them in a folder so I can have them to look through when I need them. I’m anxious to learn more!

Later Sunday, we went to my oldest brother and his families house for a super bowl party. Even though the whole family wasn’t able to come, I do love getting together with at least part of the family. I’m extremely blessed with the big family God has blessed me with! (:

I thought I would share a passage of scripture that I read this morning in my personal devotions, its one of my favorites.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-14
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;
A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace. What profit has the worker from that in which he labors? I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God. I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him.

Such a great reminder that EVERYTHING is in Gods timing, and not mine.
Have a great night (:

Snow day+ Photography= Photos edited!

Hey all! (:
Hope this Friday is finding you well. Is it seriously Feb. 1stalready? It seems like Christmas was just yesterday! Wow, I suppose this year will fly by even faster then the last. They seem to go by faster the older you get :P

On Wednesday, I didn’t go into work due to a snow storm. Which gave me the PERFECT chance to edit some of my photography. I had such a lovely snow-day, I woke up at 6am to find out I could stay home from work. So I went back to bed and spent some time in the Word, there is nothing like reading the Bible in the quiet early hours of the morning, drinking coffee, while wrapped up in your favorite quilt, sitting by a window that is slightly chilled by the winter wind and watching the snow fall so fiercely. I started out my day pretty well I think (:

Later that day, me and my younger siblings adventured out into the woods (while it was still snowing) and did some sledding, goofing around, and mostly just being crazy “Kyles”
Being country kids, we love going out to the woods any chance we get.

That night I did some photo editing, let me know what you think. I’de love comments, or even advice if you have some for me! (:
